EnvironmentThe Kings group drives our “deliver green” policy across all
areas of our business. We have a goal which is lead by our directors to promote a
“green culture” and genuine environmental awareness through our people. One of the main aims of our “Deliver Green” policy is to minimise
our carbon footprint. In recognition of
the importance in reducing carbon emissions, Kings launched its carbon offset
program in July 2007 and in 2011 are proud to partner with Greenfleet
on our voluntary 100% Carbon Offset program.
With a fleet of more than 200 vehicles used daily at Kings, we
are offsetting the GHG emissions of these vehicles with Green fleet. We aim to achieve a 100% offset of our
Company Vehicle carbon emissions. Most
recently 2011 this was done through funding the plantation of 9,035 Trees. We also aim to “Deliver Zero” environmental incidents and reduce
consumption and promote energy and resource conservation. Some other initiatives Kings undertake are: -
Increase the number of diesel fuelled vehicles on our fleet -
Move to electronic mailing and invoicing. -
Use of 100% recycled paper on all of our sites Kings is committed to the environment and to sustainability and
prides itself on being an environmental leader in the transport industry. We aim to move our customer’s goods in the
